Published on 12/26/01 at 15:00I purchased this Takamine from Stan Hebert's Music Shoppe in Hammond, Louisiana and Stan has be great to do business with. It is a Jumbo, cut-a-way, with an unadorned soild top, with mahogany sides and back. It is equipped with Takamine's Graph EX Pre-Amp and is an absolute joy to play. I paid $900 and consider it a bargain.
The action is great, the tone is superb, and owning this guitar has inspired me to practice as I have never done in my 35 years of playing. I have gone from a VERY basic campfire song strum-a-long player to an avid fingerstyle and blues student and I play EVERY day.
I absolutely LOVE this guitar and I have no complaints. If anything, I didn't pay enough for an instrument of this quality.
The nut was 0.002 inches or so narrower than the neck. I can't see it but, I can feel it.
I am very happy with this guitar. I have played it daily for since I purchased it 4 months ago and the more I play it the more I love it. I highly recommend it for anyone interested in a jumbo acoustic-electric
