A priori, this guitar brand Hosco Wood Land in China is made from the store that sold it to me. It's probably a generic manufacturer that produces some top prizes for everyone. I dare not name brand, but the shape of the headstock, there may be suspicions qq ...
20 Frets, micro piezo basic, I suppose, with a preamp volume / low / mid / treble and presence. No tuner.
Spruce. Back & Sides: basswood or mahogany, I know too much. Plastic nut.
Rosewood fingerboard and bridge, fillets and rib sleeve well done, nothing more - Mechanical oil bath entry. Tuss Rod.
Achieving very correct. Adjusting the handle, well. Height of the frets a little high for my taste. Original string not so bad.
The logo "Wood Land" on the headstock is a Décalco the ugliest taste! No frills.
Difficult to put a note. If we see the origin and the price (149 €) the final result, well congratulations! Now, over folk guitars all confused, I put six with the encouragement of the jury!
UTILIZATION
I walked into the store with the idea of not only consider the brand or the price but two things: it sounds good (balanced and clear) and is enjoyable to play next round. I tried a score of 99 to 450 €, and that's the one I liked. It is a Brell, but I am fallen, I think.
The neck is as thick as my Start, but more rounded. The frets are polished and do not hang. The action is a bit high, but I think you have to resize the nut to bridge since the handle, it is well settled. The cutaway allows access to boxes 17.18 without too much concern. It is easy to play. It is equipped with extra light 10-47 Thurs. The machine is well balanced. a lightweight ...
SOUNDS
When I tried it, I immediately loved it produces clear highs, but remains balanced. Soon be a bit weak in the midrange, but the strings have much to do, and then it's not a jumbo. I play with no amp at the moment, but I tried it on my home studio, that's fine. No complaints. Me, I love the tie and phrasing to Gilmour. She has a great resonance. Releases of harmonics that I like a lot. For the money, it's incredible ...
OVERALL OPINION
It's been two weeks that I have. I do not like the G string spun bronze. I will replace it with a line full of .022 for the tie. I look forward to changing the bridge saddle in a harder material and reduce it to an acceptable height for the action because it is his only flaw for my taste.
For trying a score of guitars while ignoring important than sound quality and the handle, I would rather fall on a known brand with a nicer finish, including the headstock, which is a fade ! Do sth, Doctor!
I do not know me, much like the Epiphone, for example ...
But hey, € 149 for a bug in the end which to me sounds as good or better than other double or triple the price, it's the end of the world!
I do not know if I would do this choice, but in any case, I would do the same way: to set a price range and see what sounds best without prejudice.
