Having a beautiful guitar luthier Franck Aries, I looked for 2 years worth a sensor of this instrument: I have a Blue Mountain among other stick Schertler and Fishman. Nothing worked! No way to find the grain of my instrument.De addition, t he never can balance the sound of each string
I use the Mag Mic for the past two years on scne good (I had to do more than a hundred concerts in Locations DIFFERENT) or home to make models and it is clear as a function of the fire god. No more creaking or other micro piezzos easel when attacking the strings (I am a little in the gypsy). Adjusting the volume of each string is a breeze.
The electret microphone hangs little and is always open at least half: means all the finesse of the game (fingers mdiators, glisss etc. ...). No need to add reverb or that sort of thing to hide the MISR. I find perfectly sound rponse of my instrument.
This microphone works great on an acoustic amp (an EAR) as a light amp (a Fender Twin) which gives sound surprising trs. The mix of the two gives a warm sound and power sound.
It is not necessary to modify the instrument and two wheels CONTRL (volume and mix of gnral electret microphone) are directly accessible on the microphone.
I see only two point ngatifs the microphone:
- It tends to capture (trs modrment) Electromagnetic environmental disturbances that sometimes a slight buzz gnre (but nothing unbearable)
- Wheel CONTRL volume is a little on the path of mdiator and is frquent to abut on it, which can rotate up and suddenly the volume. In my case, it is always the max so it does not drgle
I also get a guitar on a low-end. It works amazingly. For info, look at the vidos of John Butler. It uses only the microphone (on a 12-string!). This is standard. The microphone 222 euos Thomann is cheaper than many pickups totally ineffective ....
