Purchased in 2001 for about FRF 500 or € 80.
Passive humbucker for acoustic guitar equipped with a volume control and tone to get into the rosette.
I bought it because, having been six months to find an acoustic sound that I like, I finally accepted the idea of buying an unamplified especially since I liked the sound piezo little the time. I already had a sh330 Shadow (single coil very good) and I wanted something that sounds less electric. Other magnetic pickups are too expensive for me at the time so I chose this model.
I mounted in the rose is not a model of its kind and once installed, it changes the behavior of the soundboard but it's quite common on these microphones.
Pros:
- You can adjust the microphone height above the strings.
- The volume control is very useful
Cons:
- Output level down to a micro désepérament rosette.
- The diffuse and dull very difficult to equalize for 6 strings
- Connectivity thought for a permanent installation
So I do not recommend this purchase. You can find today Di Marzio Quick Mount easier to assemble and disassemble not too expensive and more effective. For my part, I finally put the piezo (Fishman transducer and preamp Powerjack) and find myself very happy.
Note: I ended up giving the microphone to a friend so she can amplify his twelve-string. It was the first time I heard something decent out of this microphone. Perhaps the export should in this way?
