Walden is surfing on the current eco-minded wave and, beginning January 2010, will enable guitarists to "take part in reducing the overconsumption of world resources" starting with the Madera line.
The company says its all-solid wood Madera line will be built with 100% FSC-Pure certified tonewoods such as Sitka spruce, Western Red cedar, and South American “True” mahogany.
According to Walden, with an FSC Chain-of-Custody (“COC”) certification, all woods on the MADERA are tracked from forest to finished instrument thereby guaranteeing its sustainable origins.
