ESI Audiotechnik GmbH revealed the new uniK series of professional studio reference monitors at the 2011 NAMM show.

The active loudspeakers will soon be available in models with a 4" (uniK 04), a 5" (uniK 05) and a 8" (uniK 08) low frequency driver.

 

The uniK series uses kevlar woofers and a newly designed ribbon (uniK 05 and uniK 08) tweeter with a  plane radiating surface, designed to provide a flat frequency response, a tight low end and precise mid and high ends. The mechanical design of the front panel is designed to minimize reflections.

 

Availability

The new uniK 04, uniK 05 and uniK 08 should be shipping around the globe by Q2 2011.
