Anwida DX Reverb Light [Freeware]Published on 05/25/10 at 13:28
Anwida's DX Reverb Light is a free version of their DX Reverb plug-in. It comes in both VST and Direct X plug-in formats, but I believe it is only available for PC platforms. I've used this as a VST plug-in in Cubase SX. I haven't used the full version of this plug-in, so unfortunately I won't be able to compare and contrast them. Users shouldn't have any problems installing the plug-in as long as they have the right platform to run it on. The interface of DX Reverb Light is pretty straight forward - it has parameters for mix, predelay, decay, and low cut frequency. It also has a large value knob and an overall output level slider as well. It has a variety of preset sounds that...…

SUITABILITY/PERFORMANCE

When I was running Anwida DX Reverb Light on a Hewlett Packard Pavilion dv8000 lap top with a 3.0 Ghz processor and 2 GB of RAM, before I switched over to Pro Tools. This plug-in can only be run on a PC, so I no longer have this plug-in on my Mac. I had this plug-in for about a year before I switched over, and it was definitely a good enough plug-in to warrant having around. It takes up an extremely small amount of processing power, so I would think that as long as you're able to run your DAW with plug-ins smoothly as is, you'll be okay with this one.

OVERALL OPINION

Anwida DX Reverb Light is definitely a plug-in I'd recommend checking out if you have a PC and either a VST or Direct X supported DAW. It isn't going to break down any boarders or give you something spectacular, but for the light version of a plug-in it actually has a good amount to offer it's users. The sounds are useful for mixing smaller budgeted or home studio projects for sure. I'll always recommend at least trying out a free plug-in if you're able to, but with DX Reverb Light I really don't see a reason not to have it in your suite full time.

The file installs as DirecX effect or VST, no problems

SUITABILITY/PERFORMANCE

I used it in several configs, now under Win7 64bit for Samplitude ProX, always stable

OVERALL OPINION

I've had more than 20 years, I still use it for overall reverb on a dedicated bus. In case I need a reverb extra discreet.
Its settings are very accessible and not need to take the lead

Installation very easy. I do not remember galr the least. You just choose one place o its DirectX plug-ins for not having anywhere on the computer, but it is not related to the product.

It is also compatible VST2.0, supports Mac / PC and 24bit/96kHz.

SUITABILITY/PERFORMANCE

Running on P4 2.4 GHz PC with 512 MB RAM.
I run the plug-in in Cubase, Magix Audio Studio (Samplitude = light) and even AudioClinic ...

Plug-in any lightweight that will not come to the knees BCAN.

Rglage of custom settings are empty trs understand, even for a nophyte.

- Prdelay in ms
- Hard to rverbration s
- Frquence cutoff.

No wealth of rglage, but sufficient to properly adjust the rverb '. As usual, it is better not to have too many rglages, but they are well comprhensibles and clear. This is the case.

OVERALL OPINION

I use it for a year prs. I could compare with the rverbs Audio Studio (very poor). So I was looking for DX plug free (for Audio Studio 2004 prfre DX, even if one can be installed using a VST wrapper) and I found it and the The series of "BlueVerb" and PianoVerb.

The rverb Anwida sduit me by its fineness of restitution, not aggressive, not too much color in mdium, and its high level of natural, specially on voices a cappella (test formidable! ).

So, I use it with virtually all software. I know what I have, I know what it does. and it is pretty.

I tonn not to see other opinions. Is li DX format rpandu less than VST. Take a quick ear, especially for the price (free), you risk nothing!

No problem, my memory ... I use it as VST plug.

SUITABILITY/PERFORMANCE

Pentium IV, Cubase SX, Windows XP Pro, Sound Card Hoontech. The reverb works well in this configuration, which in a fawn gnrale, still running correctly.

OVERALL OPINION

Must have Tlcharger there almost a year (I do not know, indeed ...).
Trs easy to use, it sounds natural with a CPU ridiculous. I use it as extra reverb on isolated sounds, it is not prfre (I prfre SIR), but it is easy and enjoyable to employment. It sounds nice.
