Console designer and manufacturer Audient launches ASP2802 at this year’s Pro Light & Sound / Musikmesse exhibition, an eight channel console combining classic analogue features with DAW integration and control.

The ASP2802 integrates with the computer system, enabling the user to switch between the analogue layer – the traditional mixer path travelling through the console – and the DAW layer within the computer session.

Behaving like an eight channel desk, the design of the ASP2802 also belies a functioning master section based on the design of the now classic ASP8024, and shares the same mic preamp topology and bus compressor design, not usually available on other such compact consoles.

With 28 inputs at the mix stage – achieved using the Alternate switch for an extra input per channel, 8 summing inputs and 2 stereo FX returns – the ASP2802 comes in at a very moderate price.

Come and see ASP2802 at Frankfurt’s Pro Light & Sound / Musikmesse exhibition in  Hall 5.1, D71 alongside Audient’s existing product range, between 24–27 March 2010.
