Giorgio Moroder has been making electronic music for over 50 years, either in solo or with many artists, such as Donna Summer, David Bowie, Blondie, and more recently with Daft Punk ; he also worked on various soundtracks, among them Top Gun, Scarface, Flashdance or Midnight Express.
Giorgio’ last appearance showed him playing a Novation MiniNova synth. It inspired the brand who decided, in collaboration with the artist, to create a special edition of the instrument, called MoroderNova, which sports a Silver/Black finish with Moroder’s graphic portrait, with sunglasses and moustache. But most importantly, it includes patches cooked by Novation sound designers, who recreated the sounds of this Moroder’s most notable productions.
The MoroderNova will be available in a very limited edition (500 models only) and will ship with a certificate of authenticity. No information about the price and availability yet. You can see the first info at www.morodernova.com.
