Monophonic analog synthesizer (VCO / VCF / VCA).

Rack version of the Minimoog Voyager, with connections midi in / out / thru, audio in / out (balanced or unbalanced +6 db out out), insert in / out, connections planned to turn in your minimoog syntétiseur modular.

UTILIZATION

The setup is very clear. The vast majority of functions of the synthesizer has a knob autographed. Editing sounds is made extremely easy by the many knobs for facades, for both bus modulation, waveform oscillators, filter and envelope filter and amplifier. As long as you understand the principles of sound synthesis, the Minimoog is a real pleasure to program and play with. The knobs are esxcellentes invoice and are waiting to be manipulated.

SOUNDS

The sound!! The sound and still sound!

Equally suited to any type of electronic music (electro, techno, industrial, dubstep, synth pop, hip hop, rnb etc.. Etc..) Projects as experimental jazz or progressive rock. In fact, the Minimoog is a real musical instrument that awaits your creativity to include it in your music.

The sound of the Minimoog is simply enormous. You caress the ears in the treble, there is a density and incredible depth in the bass. Even the effects of modulation LFO driven into extreme limits, which in most digital synthesizer or virtual would not fail to sound aggressive here sound "musical".

The sound! And yet the sound!

OVERALL OPINION

I purchased a month ago and I keep practicing the instrument. It's simple, I have produced the slightest piece last month. I can not stop playing with my Moog and I do not feel any frustration. I kindles virtually no computer in my home studio. I spend all my time playing with my Moog. I really like.

Someone on one forum for this site was signed "This is not the Minimoog which talent", and it is true that this is not the piano that made the pianist. But cons, the Minimoog is calling you. I never practice as a synthesizer in my life. I hardly play the piano for a month. And to go back to what I mentioned above, by dint of training and practice, I still think the talent is beginning to point the tip of his nose. It's simple, I have all emulations available as the Minimoog Arturia, Spectrasonics Trilogy, IK SampleMoog, etc.. If I have often used these plug-in in my productions, I never played with them over 15 minutes or two days to follow. With the Minimoog, I'm more than that. And this is really symptomatic of the quality of this instrument.

I have two other monophonic analog, a Novation BassStation and a CIO Mopho. If Mopho indégnables has qualities, it is much more "harsh" as the Moog, and the filter does not happen at the ankle. I also own a Korg MinKorg XL. Then, it is surely also a matter of taste. We like it or not the Moog sound, this is personally my favorite and I'm really used with the Minimoog that outperforms all my other synths.

What I like most? The sound very sure, the biggest of its synthetic analogue which I faced, but also the excellent craftsmanship of this instrument, it's solid, with a look that is both vintage and futuristic. The knobs are of superior quality, probably the best on the market. I also like the idea that Moog is expensible and can become a true semi-modular. I am thinking of completing my colllection MoogerFooger and connect everything together in the future.

The price / quality ratio is definitely not as good as his new little brother louse Slim Phatty I think I would buy if I had less money. But what value for money, in view of the excellent craftsmanship of the instrument is quite hpnnête. It's expensive, certainly, but upon reflection, when I think of all that I spent in my life cheaper alternative (notably plug-in AU / VST), I tell myself that I should save money and make the purchase much faster in my musical career. Nothing can rival the sound of the Minimoog emulation on Moog. And it is playing with him that we realize the power of marketing that you managed to sell AU / VST as an emulation of the real instrument complies. Nothing to see!

With experience, I would do what choice I already regret not doing earlier in my life.

I think all too often, the instruments are overpriced on this website or in magazines. But I would put 10/10.

Value for money: 8 / 10
Invoice (build quality): 10/10
Ease of Use: 9 / 10
Versatility: 9 / 10
Results: 10/10

What I like least? I have not found it yet.
