All user reviews for the Roland CMU-800

The CMU-800 is a small 4 channel mixer that includes a Bass section, a section rytmique a melodic section and a section Mono melodic polyphonic (4 marks).
Basically it was used for the expander AppleII, it connects via a web on a map of appleII but many DIYers have diverted for use in MIDI expander.
It also includes 8 output CV / Gate.
The rhythm section includes the sounds of the TR-606
section takes up the bass sound of the TB-303 (albeit limited) but with a few settings available via the Apple II

The CMU-800 includes 4 separate outputs for each section and an outlet MIX
Each section has its own volume fader and a master fader for the output mix

In front there is a control for portamento
Decay and Sustain to Part Mono
Decay to the bottom and decay also part Chord

No internal memory

UTILIZATION

If you want to use with the software on AppleII I can not refer you more than that because I used to edit expander

SOUNDS

The sounds are good sounds roland
The rhythm section is very cheap at the how the TR-606
bass and chord section is warm enough but there have not dpommage pl_us parameter editable like a big VCF
But nothing plsu speaking a small demo

[b]OVERALL OPINION[/b]

I think it's a very complete machine for its time but which asks only to change
With a little hack I'm sure the buyers of this machine will pass a good time in well-typed Roland sounds oldschool
And what is the cheat here is the schema of the beast for those who wish to modify
