PPC G4 1GHz, 640MB RAM, 80GB HDD, DVD / CDRW, MACOSX 10.3.9. Screen 14 ".
I use it for more than 5 months.
Before, I had a laptop (P4 2.8GHz CPU, 512MB RAM, 80GB HDD, ...).
bought used 850 euros (cétait a deal, "at the time", the IT market evolves extremely quickly, as everyone knows).
Price Justified: exellent machine.
I probably would do such a choice, anyway, for people who are a little music and some of his ...
MAC OSX is a model of stability: in 3 months never planted, ask the same thing to a PC would be that a week in the same condition of use ...
The switching power does not pollute the audio unlike most PCs.

Battery life: 6 hours between 3:30 ET according to what is asked. With my P4 was rather 1:30 max ... (I must say that given the performance obtained with such a processor speed ... PPC consumes much less)
Switch to the Mac, it costs no more than a good laptop (even new) and it works really well, it's compact ... well that happiness as we manage many word files, exel, mp3, a internet connection, games, one enjoys the best software available on the market (VST to perform digital is still a bit above those of Cubase SX or Nuendo still ...). Why a PC ???
I'm exaggerating, there are PCs that work well but good for the efficiency is better a Mac, it's really impressive!
