WorxAudio Upgrades X2-P Line Array

With its new PXD8080 power amplifier, the X2-P is a two-way line array loudspeaker system designed for small to medium sized performance venues and clubs, houses of worship, theaters, cabarets, as well as meeting and presentation facilities.

The new 2-channel design features 800 × 800 watts and employs a 3rd generation digital Class D amplifier. The PMD8080 employs a 64-bit processor, offers a 121 dB dynamic range with a 96 kHz sampling rate. The PMD8080 can store up to 99 factory presets that can be accessed via the LCD screen on the amplifier’s face plate or, alternatively, by its CAT-5 Ethernet port (RJ-45). The PMD8080 has a regulated power supply with a universal voltage range of 88V – 170V.

The WorxAudio Technologies X2-P Line array incorporates two modules, each with a medium format, 1-inch exit compression driver coupled to a FlatWave Former (wave shaping device). The compression drivers are paired with dual 8-inch cone transducers coupled to the (A.I.M.) Acoustic Intergrading Module with a frequency range that spans from 45 Hz to 20 kHz (-10 dB).

The upper module of the X2-P provides 10-degree vertical dispersion while the lower module delivers a 25-degree vertical pattern. Combined, the two modules create a 30-degree vertical system with a dispersion of 150 degrees.

The loudspeaker enclosure is constructed from multi-ply Baltic Birch. Protecting the enclosure is a multi-layered, two part  polyurea  ProTex finish available in black or white. A 14-gauge, perforated, cloth-backed, powder coated steel grill protects the transducer complement.

The X2-P ships with a complement of flyware. The X2-P’s black or white powered coated, aluminum TrueAim grid incorporates a series of holes that control the angle of the suspended enclosure.
