I have a sony vaio notebook, I'm a musician and i need to know which is the best sound card for notebooks? specifically for recording purposes..

Hi, if your notebook has firewire connector, try to buy M-Audio firewire soundcard (e.g. Firewire Solo). It is a professional stuff with low latency, I have the best experience with this and still using it for more than a year.
