I need a good way to patch a couple of Dynamic Sennheiser mics into my PC for a bit of hard disc recording. I plan on using Sonar to capture the audio.
Right now I'm using a standard Audigy (1) Platinum. I have no balanced inputs. My ideas are as follows:
1/ Buy an M Audio 192 soundcard. Use the preamps on my Yamaha 16-Channel live mixer for the mic input and patch the mixer direct to the M Audio's analog inputs. Will this work?
2/ Get a Mackie Spike
Will there be a significant sound quality reduction with the first option? I'm all ears.
