Jean-Baptiste Heuclin aka Hushman

A pianist since childhood and a guitarist since the age of 16, I have a passion for guitar equipment, whether electric or acoustic guitars, amplifiers, pedals, strings, or picks.
After graduating from ISTS in 2010, a subsidiary of ESRA, I was able to acquire knowledge of recording and mixing techniques in the studio, thanks to my training as a sound engineer. This training also allowed me to discover the work of sound in film.
I also gained experience working as a salesperson in Parisian music stores, which complemented my knowledge of modern and vintage instruments.
I have been an editor at Audiofanzine since December 2018, where I write news articles, reviews, and buying guides on guitars and related topics. I was also Community Manager for Audiofanzine from November 2019 to November 2022. I managed social media and conducted interviews with sound engineers.
I have played various instruments (guitar, bass, keyboards) in several bands. I formed the blues-rock band Bad Stories in 2012, which is still active today and in which I am the lead guitarist. I also formed the band Yard On, with whom I had the chance to perform at Printemps de Bourges and Bus Palladium, among others.
Over time, I have become a versatile guitarist who plays many styles, from Gypsy Jazz to Thrash Metal, Funk, and Soul.
I recently opened a music school where I teach piano, guitar, ukulele, and music theory to students of all ages and levels, and I joined the team at the online retailer PALF to write brand and product descriptions.
