«  Versatile compressor »

Published on 10/05/10 at 05:52
It is a compressor pedal for bass brand EBS.
No editing on computer, it is a analog pedal.
Level connections, an input jack, a jack and an input osrtie PSU type Boss.

UTILIZATION

The configuration is simple and the manual is very clear.
The only negative point, it is trimpots that allow adjustment of the pad on the bass and treble in multiband. They work very well, but we must open the pedal to get there.
Otherwise there is a switch to select the input type: active or passive, threshold and a knob a knob volume.
There is also a switch to select the type of compression, tubesim, normal or multiband.
The settings are effective and accurate.

SOUND QUALITY

This pedal is very good job and does not color the sound at all, unless it was put in tubesim.
I use it with different basses in 4 or 5 string equipped with Delano and falling into a GK 700-RB II.
Whether mild or strong, the compression is very effective and offers a beautiful palette of sound.

OVERALL OPINION

I have since 1yr and a half, I tried to compress DBX rack style, and I thought it was to set galley. The MULTICOMP is much simpler and optimized for bass.
What I like least is access to trimpot that i is a bit difficult, but once set it does not move.
Me I only open during the first month.
Upgrade its nothing to say, it's EBS.
I would do this choice without hesitation. I do not like to take my head again with cuts that include 50 buttons.
