40 watt bass amp. Hybrid transistor preamp and tube amplification, it is much better than the inverse especially with period transistors. Very simple settings, on / off, standby, treble, bass, volume. An outlet 16 ohms and 8 ohms two outputs. I like simple amp, but if the settings are sufficient for a guitar to a medium low setting would have been welcome. The year of construction is 1969 I think, so we talk about vintage amp well.
We light, we remove the standby is up the volume and it works, what an amp ... The plexi front lights and the German industrial design of the 60s is more "poetic".
For sound, a bass is awesome if we play to the fingers, the bass is deep and not mushy and mediums are present. But I played with a pick most of the time and even if this amp is cool the tone controls are not sufficient for me. I play on the Japanese replicas Jazzbass mounted flat nets and would have liked to dig the mediums that are very present for the sudden it as cool sounds like that but I have not much choice. At that power remains sufficient to repeat the same with a drummer who types, ideal for playing in a club or pad. This is the advantage of preamp transistor can have a good sound even at low volume not come on all-tube amp. Saturation from the 3/4 volume.
For a guitar is stunning come it sounds good, the settings are sufficient and it sends even on big stage, I tested. Very nice grain.
I bought this amp "how to see" without even trying. We find for less than 200 € on the net quite frequently. It is not comparable with a Hiwatt Custom 100 or Stevens but it is an amp that has a sound all its own and actually quite endearing. To play the old funk and pop with her late 70's cool, To slap I know I did not but I think it's not for. Unbeatable value for money !!
