UTILIZATION

The setup is fairly simple, nothing to be lost in the knobs, maybe some will be confused by the EQ 6-band rotary knobs in place of mini faders
In facade, it has 2 inputs, one at 0db for low passive and one active-6db for the volume knob and the gain, a clip indicator, the 6-band EQ, MP3 input / the mini jack, headphone jack and on / off button
At the rear is the power socket classic 2 HP (Mini 4 ohm total), an effects loop, an XLR direct output format, with volume control and ground lift switch to connect to Mix a table or a sound card for example.
When you turn the beast the first thing you notice is the fan, not necessarily very noisy but now all the same
It connects, we play, it's plug & play!

SOUNDS

The sound is pretty good for a head at this price, even if for the distortion will go through a foot since we happen to be clipped to the sound by putting the gain at the bottom
Kustom thought to novices by offering three settings in the manual, it's always good to take and sounds on offer are not bad at all
Personally I like the sound of a low round and near-acute, easy to do with the 6-band EQ, simply put the first 2 knobs at the bottom and the other a mini. Speaking of the EQ they are effective enough, you can feel the difference a knob is turned qd

OVERALL OPINION

This head is also the standard format (KXB200H) but in my case I was looking for a low-head rack for my home studio.
The main advantage of this head is that it can operate without cab! Exactly what I was looking for since I have neither the place nor the utility of a cab knowing that it will serve me for recording.
As Kustom says on his website, you can leave your cab to the rehearsal room ', the only board in your head and play with headphones, through the direct out or exit your cab stayed home!

And especially at this price, if you are looking for your first head low, do not hesitate!
