Decent tone but not ABM

They have a great high performance and high-value amplifiers and speaker cabinets that has been able to be on stage for basically just about every genre of music. What is great about their amplifiers it is that they are very user-friendly and they're extremely versatile from genre to genre of music.
This is an amplifier there's more budget friendly for the bass player in mind. It contains a 1x 15 inch speaker and it has 180 W of power. That's still quite a bit of a pat lot power for a small little combo. So you can get some great tones and very loud tones with this combination. The...…

SOUNDS
The tone of this amplifier is extremely good. One of things that really draws me to the Ashdown base amplifiers is their compression knobs and their subharmonic knobs. This gives you such a great versatility over your tone to better match the guitars that you're using and any other effects pedals or rack units that you might be using in conjunction with your bass amplifier. When you dial in some of the growl and compression to this and you can get a good driving overdrive tone similar to a power tube section of a guitar amplifier. Even though this amplifier does not have power tubes in it the compression gives you the sense of the overdrive and focus that you would get out of the punchy powered tube guitar amplifier.
This amp uses 8 ohms of power and it can go all the way down to 4 ohms which gives you a good thundering low response. You can also run the speaker outputs Avenue of the back of the app into a larger speaker cabinet if you so please. And I can't forget about the line input and direct output which gives you the ability to use this in free direct live recording or by passing the speakers any gigging situation and going directly into the house system. This is a great feature and is mostly common on many base amplifiers at this price range and user range.
OVERALL OPINION
This amplifier can be found used for ride around $450 which is a pretty fair price when you get it has a great sound and is very usable in most guitar music in applications. This is aunt that is pretty lightweight since it's only 29 pounds so it can go to gig to gig very easily with you. I highly recommend this to anyone who needs a small and budget friendly bass guitar amplifier.

The Ashdown Electric Blue 15-180 is a bass guitar combo amp suitable for uses of all types. I've only used this amplifier in the studio when the bass player of a band I was recording brought it in for the session. Ashdown is a cool company as they make some great bass amps for reasonable prices. The 15-180, somewhat obviously, boasts 180 watts of power through a single 15" speaker. It's a solid state amp and gives you a plethora of connections and routing options to work with including both an active and passive 1/4" input, 1/4" tuner output, 1/4" effects send and return, and also an XLR output for taking the amp direct out.

UTILIZATION
Using the Ashdown Electric Blue 15-180 isn't too hard and at the same time there is a lot of parameters and controls to work with. This includes built in compression, input and output levelers, and a three band EQ. It also has a bright switch and a sub harmonic knob that can produce some interesting full sounds. I haven't seen a manual for this and I don't think I ever will.
SOUNDS
The sound of the Ashdown Electric Blue 15-180 is pretty awesome. It's super full sounding and between all of the controls you can definitely get a wide array of tones. It's pretty big and should be loud enough to play shows with in a variety of venues. When recording it I took both a signal from XLR output and mic'd it up, both of which gave us some great sounds - especially the DI sound which was awesome coming straight from amp.
OVERALL OPINION
The Ashdown Electric Blue 15-180 is a superb choice for bass players on all levels who are looking for a great bass combo amp without spending too much money. I really like the sound of the amp and also love that you've got so much control - built in compression is a huge plus! I was surprised to find out how cheap these are. Those bass players out there looking for a top quality combo amp without the budget for one should definitely check out the Electric Blue 15-180 and the other amps Ashdown has to offer.

Type transistor amplifier
with a power of 110 watts into 8 ohms (thus original configuration)
or 180 into 4 ohms, for example adding a 4/10 or 2/10
connectivity is very complete
2 among high and low instrument
1 send 1 return (for external or multi purpose)
1 tuner out (for tuner)
1 out DI (super convenient to be taken over by a PA)
2 released hp (one pat Adi used the original 15 hp)
5 band EQ
a knob (input) to gain another (ouput) to master
mine is a version with a light meter needle and no it is not a Thomann Edition (gray)
it is a true version of Electric Blue
So here, with this kind of connection is really getting into the court of the great

what face anything without complex
it is nothing less than an amp head (dshabill) placed in a combo
USE
Super simple setup
even a beginner is doing without difficultbr /> for qualisation just put all of twelve o'clock and then it all just cool
on 5 bands
until get his desire, there is no easier than has
manual ... no comment
SONORITS
Well .. I would say it should virtually every music style
it really is super versatile
I use it with an Ibanez SR Series classic Fender Jazz Bass 70
a Godin SD4
amp complies with the sound color of each instrument
(As long as not abused the qual)
as I said Adi for sounds, we just pretty much get clean slamming
passing through sonorits funki jazz and ending with the very heavy fat
be good even when not too pushed either it's not a stack
but it is rather good job for a combo config
I never tried it plus give it a difficult 4/10 given notice
in stack configuration and therefore 180 watt
NOTICE GLOBAL
I use it for 1 year
in reality I use 2 because I discovered this amp in rpet room that I use with the group
and frankly, malgres my assumptions that my amp configuration surprised by his behavior
Original
it really yours with the route I ever need to put it in the red
even when the beater is racing too
and when I saw the era has taken 350 Euros I very quickly realized that I would be better in the range
300/500 Euros
I must admit that for better, I would have had to increase my budget by at least 2
and again ...
I think if you have a limited budget to start, do not hsiter especially because its 110 watt home
are very more than enough to go anywhere
whether at home or in rpet scnique fat provision has its DI
again we just do evolve with the addition of HP
so a good quality small investment compared taken unbeatable for now
I t is the accuracy of all marks given depending on the range taken
because it is a lot better but most expensive

Any amp transistors, 180 watts RMS (into 4 ohms or 8 I do not know but more powerful than a Gallien-Krueger 150 watt is verified)
25 kilos. A handle.
A 15-inch speaker. vents in the back. no tweeter.
entered "active" and "passive".
5-band equalizer.
50hz boost, boost 8khz, switch to bypass the equalizer.
effects loop, 2 speaker outputs (one taken by the built-in HP, you can disconnect), 1 x DI-useful for a live but to avoid to save her too soft for the normal price.
Octaver an adjustable bypass.
property: weight / power / price effects loop on the front, 2 HP possible.
less: no compressor (% £ ¤ why a $ Octaver instead?)
not good: no tweeter, no marks on the knobs....…

UTILIZATION
Simple but the input level to deal with, not found in competitors. that hair cell to adjust the amp compared to microphones and preamps to your bass, I do not lower the note.
no marks: I had to make marks with a marker, the EQ is subtle and moving easily transport large knobs, which are not notched. -1.
SOUNDS
Blues, rock, hard rock and punk, classic jazz.
no tweeter: TFW less for the funk, but I'm hardly.
I do not know anything about "his" metal .. no opinion on it.
Overall the sound is fat and the attack is accurate (offsets the lack of tweeter I think). The "fat" increases by pushing the bass and lower midrange, without removing too much clarity to the sound.
Power: the internal speaker, I put the volume at 9 to repeat (with a guitarist and a singer who wants to hear). Notice to nag: 11am you trigger a riot in your group. The sound remains intact until then, I have not tested beyond.
10, considers the price.
OVERALL OPINION
I correct my mistake (I had put a notice for the 12-180 as my 15-180) and I want to bring me up to date with a little more experience.
This is the most versatile combo I've tried in this price range. No competition possible, trace elliot, fender, etc ... Better than Gallien Krueger backline and (more and more expensive). It certainly has its own character (the fat), but the EQ is such that we can get what you want. The lack of tweeter limited to the traditional sounds, but he does well.
With the experience I see my notes on the rise, so. It is found growing in the trade and this is normal. Competitors to adapt!
