This is a bass amplifier transistor,

There's no easier and like many I have not read the manual.

SOUNDS

I Funk 100%, the sound is pretty cold so it's not very suitable for this style of music. But the sound is good, it sends a lot for its small size and I remember being surprised! I first took to the practical side: portable (7kg) can familiarize themselves with the basic effects, ideal for bosser at home or with friends for a quiet evening beef ...
But if you want depth go your way, with such a template can not have everything! I use a MusicMan Stingray.

OVERALL OPINION

It no longer works ... Just like my Micro Cube guitar version of which passed away after 4 years.
The materials seem good at first ... But I never opened the beast ... in terms of the life that is to review ... Without pushing the volume up it started making huge breath and then nothing ... What types of sounds: rather cleans or typed fretless sound
I found the exact sound very successful, sounds mediums (for fretless) also, I'm not a fan of his sounds when you push the gain
Used primarily for work, the headphone or on its own HP ranges and other exercises are another dimension with a drum machine, and even effects. But I use it more to save on the fly bass lines in drafts / mock, because the sounds are quite correct for registration.

What I like: almost everything there -> different sounds, drum machine, tuner, compressor, versatility: it is comfortable with all the bass and the weight and size (it comes on vacation).
I this I do not like: there is a rhythm, but we do not know how we will beat ... perhaps a small display? On the other hand, as I have four or five settings that I like, depending on the bass that I use, I would have liked to have a way to remember them. And finally the dark side of the force, I think - especially with headphones included in a sound - EQ sometimes very little action (depending on its use).

UTILIZATION

I tried a combo of batteries to play when others are unpluged, and some by just continuing to play on my bass (I have not found an acoustic bass for my taste and I have some constraints contrabass) - I l I found.
Not too heavy (it weighs the same as) and the batteries it lasts! - I put my battery of 2100mA / h and played over two days - it's great!

SOUNDS

I play the JB-V and Sandberg California AmDelux-V Fretless - the sound is very good, there are simulations that appeal quickly 2-3.
I'm not a great connoisseur of Roland combos (at the time I played the Cube 30) but I see some simulitude - the sound a bit hard (lack of heat) in the low mids for my taste, but for this little beast I pass. Because it has the power in the belly - I do not know how they arrive at Roland, but the power Microcube is not far from my 30W Peavey ...
Some oddities:
- A simulation that adds breath (too bad, but there are others that make me do)
- When I go through my JamMan, I turn on the click and I play a long note: the end of the note the amp "pump" for each click as if there was a compressor - very bizarre.

OVERALL OPINION

It's been two weeks I use it - it's fresh
I am very happy - I have what I wanted
The price - a bit pricey but good ... done

As for the sounds, my opinion is somewhat mixed on this.

I use it only with my Ibanez SR500bm, and I have not had a chance to test it with another bass.

Of the 8 amp models, there are about 3 that I use because I like much less others. (Octave bass I do not like, and there are amp models that look like enough.)
My favorites are Super Flat, Flip Top, and Bass 360. They sound good as long to dwell on the settings. (The fact that I can set the equalizer on my bass is a real +)

Despite this, I find that the sounds are a bit cold and synthetic in all ...
but hey, you have to know what you want because it's not really the heat of its motivated me to buy this amp.

I use the Roland Micro Cube Bass RX for about 1 month.

Likes:
-Simplicity
-The power it delivers compared to 2x2, 5 Watt announced. He knows to be heard!
-For a beginner like me, it's nice to have several types of sounds available
-The effects are well made (although I do not serve quasimment)
-The tuner and drum machine built are really nice! especially on a small portable amp like this

I like least:

I would recommend this amp for those who travel a lot, for as little amp "extra", it is very convenient, and delivers a more than adequate.

I love this Microcube the amp except the bass octave is special and that for the moment I identifies it.

I try to purchase on the web because an amp warwick blue cab 30 which my not at all, I try a 15 watt Laney RB1 a fair bit, I had seen on the RB2 but I did not could try it and after a disappointment but different purchase on the web I have not wanted to take a risk and I took this Microcube m'algrés that the 5 watts full well his job: playing at home

for what it is the price roland products are expensive but as said above it is the quality

Well this is basically the exact same amp as the guitar rx but just tailored towards bass. So the amp models are bass models and that really is it. The effects are the same as well as the drums patterns and other features. It doesn't sound that bad either.

SOUNDS

The tone is rather appealing and solid for the price of this amp. Bass amps are sometimes hit or miss in that they just don't project solid low tones and can't handle any more than a 4 string guitar. I play a five string and this amp can handle even a 6 string without getting flubby or wolfy sounding.

OVERALL OPINION

At new these amps come in at around $260, which is not bad for the price. It has several different models to choose from and and plenty of effects if that is your thing. For me I don't use any effects other than a drive pedal or something like. Sometimes a chorus pedal but that is about it.

If you need a good sounding practice bass amp then this is a great amp for the money. It has a headphone jack and a line out for going straight to the PA system.

UTILIZATION

Operation is simple, except that the tuner is almost useless as it is not practical.

Getting a good sound? I would not go so far ... we can not say that the sound is transcendent but not what we look when buying this type of toy. In any case the power is surprisingly good for such a small thing. Finally, should not push down a bit otherwise it saturates.

This amp is not made to fit a type of music but to suit a particular type of use. And on that side it is doing its job.

The effects are fun 5min, but no more. We might have passed.

The drum machine is pretty cool: you can have different speeds at the tempo we want is to practice if it was not accompanied by a percussionist on hand, or just to train.

The sound is not great in absolute terms but more than enough good and strong for what is done.

OVERALL OPINION

I use an ad hoc basis for a year and a half for sessions outdoors with dry scrape or take a vacation and train anywhere.

I tried other amps but low "fixed" it would be disingenuous to compare.
I have another trip for guitar amp (Fender amp can). The latter has the advantage of taking a real rechargeable battery which takes more time. So it is a bit heavier but it is useful. Batteries are hot at the Roland few sessions, I would rather not have all these useless gadgets that are the tuner and effects but instead have real drums as the fender.

- What thing do you like most/least about it?
The pros: light, small, practical, sound quite right

The quality is good, but the high price I think. I therefore find that the ratio is average.

I just bought it this afternoon at Star's Music (Pigalle) and I was really skeptical about the bass ... until I try it!
It's amazing what it can own spit a lil something.
Well it sends wood without shake my bénouze playing an F, but still ...

The feature I like is its size and weight, certainly, 7kg at the end of a strap (included) is not nothing, but given the sound is not asking too much.
Because the niche of bass amps portable trèèèèèès is narrow, I have not tried others. However, I had a Laney RB1 (not portable) and 15w is squarely on the day and night!
Very good value for money, I do it again without hesitation that choice
