I was looking for a small, light,
"dinnertime gig" amp that would
sound good with a [then] recently
acquired G&L. I had been using a
small practice amp with other axen
but the G&L made it crazy.
First off, it handled the tones from the
G&L that were too much for my other small
amp. It only weighs 18lb, which fit well
into my criteria, and has a horn as well
as the main 10" bass driver.
Cloth grille requires care to not harm it.
Has single "volume" [not in + out levels].
Mostly I don't like that after several
months of dining room level volume [plus
quiet practice] it now sounds like hell
with multiple loud resonances from the
cabinet and a distorted speaker sound.
Compact SS 25W combo, 4 channel EQ plus
"Bassilator" button ["deep" switch] and
a single "Volume" knob. High & low gain
input jacks, 10" bass driver + horn.
Back of cab is screwed in place, perhaps
leading to the resonance problems. I've
tried foam cushioning, rubber washers on
the screws, adding internal foam baffles.
Nothing helps. Bassically, NOT anything
I recommend for bass, although it is now
a fine punk rock guitar practice amp.
Power cord is 3-blade removeable type so
it can be used on something else.
A rather bogus product. Was used very
conservatively and has multiple acoustic
flaws after several months. Definitely
on the NOT RECOMMENDED list.
