Mesa Boogie Standard PowerHouse PH 1000

I had the opportunity to acquire this baffle nine to one price "stocking" I was looking for a 6x10 cabinet type, and this opportunity presented itself.
I use a Mesa 400 + or SVT 2 Pro, for rehearsals and concerts.
The connection is complete, or Speakon jack, no problem. The crossover frequency is adjustable (to set the threshold at which certain frequencies pass within 10 inches and some in the 15-inch).
The tweeter is also adjustable. A vent is located at the front (open baffle)
The finish is high-end, the grid is strong, robust HP are arranged so as to balance out the set.
Wheels underneath it and ergonomic handles on the sides allow easy handling (you can handle it alone, in fact it is relatively compact and not very heavy).
As some models in the Mesa, there RoadReady in the series, ie the well of the cabinet serves as the filght box, and closes before a flight case (which greatly increases the overall weight) . Mine is the PowerHouse series.

SOUNDS

The frequency response is not truly neutral, there was a small sound color Mesa so specific to the brand.
The dynamics is respected, the sound spectrum is very wide with four 10-inch and 15 inch and a tweeter in the same box, which covers the entire range of a bass.
The sound is clear and precise if it is to be so, but the range is very wide, can baffle a lot of things and to find the limits you will go far!
What you should still know is that this is a cabinet that is not HiFi, it colors the sound with the "Mesa". Coupled with the Mesa 400 + is a joy, power and heat of the head are returned and the sound pressure is enormous. SVT 2 Pro with the natural saturation of the head going very well, you do not lose serious with the 15 inches. Of course no problem with any kind of effect ...
Finally, know that this speaker is able to withstand a titanic power of 1000W into 4 ohms!

OVERALL OPINION

I use it since I bought it.
I tried a few 4x10 in the past.
What is with this cabinet is that it's an all-in-one compact compared to the power and the diameters of the HP board. The sound is really good, but it is subjective. It will fit any head, the better course is to pair it with the Mesa, lamps if possible, it's really another world.
The price / quality ratio is good (I bought it at a bargain price), but it's pretty expensive new. We pay a quality manufacturing and a workforce that is among the best in the "Made in America".
We must have the use, but with experience I would do this choice without hesitation.
I can not imagine what can be coupled with the PH1200 Titan V12!
