I mount this kit on my Ibanez SR400, a few weeks ago, and lchangement radical! These microphones produce very low in acute qualit.Les remain present but not too bright, pervasive, as was the case with the original pickups. The settings are sucsints but effective (and then the kit equal 3bandes EMG MUCH better !!!!!). 166 mics really makes an own identity by taking the time to tweak a little, we are forced to find happiness in the sound palette offers.
Assembly, depending on the bass, can be a pretext for making a good head. EMG is stingy on the length of son, and the jack book will not cross any low (too short ..). Otherwise, the welds are simple to make, the patterns clear and precise.
The kit cost me 210. We need the violin merit the investment. Or like me, you are comfortable with your instrument and you have a small love story with this one!
I would do that choice for at least two reasons:
"I was ready to invest in something amp models to find a big blow son.Du is useless!
-By scratching the settings, I manage to sculpt sounds that I never thought now, the bass fits perfectly with the guitars in my group.
9 in a little note, just for small negligible EMG on the design of this kit.Sinon it would have been a 10.

Back on the advice a few years (and some bass) later:
After buying a G & L Tribute, I just Dechant kit.Manque on the capabilities of deep bass, lack of output level, its right ... my recent Warwick Corvette drives the point home. So I think it came from the sudden I lutherie.Du lan in the manufacture of a bass. Wacapou body, brazilian wood (looks like mahogany) neck of my old Ibanez, key fretless ebony in the kit ... and EMG reuse. Well, it still lacks the same things. So I think if I rebuilt one (which is likely), I probably would choose to Seymour.
