Blend.io partnered with digital music distributor The Orchard in order to offer their members a new way to sell their music.
Thanks to this partnership, Blend.io now becomes a fully independent music label and will base their choice on public popularity: songs or remixes that receive a certain number of likes will have a good chance to be selected by the label department. This is therefore a democratic system and no crowndfunding is required like with other independent music labels. Blend adds that, along with digital distribution on popular selling platforms such as Beatport, iTunes, Amazon, Spotify, Deezer…, the label will support the artist’s marketing and help them monetize their work.
