Numark has announced its new CDN450 rack-mount dual MP3/CD player.
CDN450 is designed to enable DJs to play their CDs and MP3 CDs, carrying more tracks on fewer discs. The player displays text for ID3 tags and folder names. They can access the track they want and bend pitch on CDN450's jog wheels. DJs can pitch tracks up and down on 8– and 16-percent ranges for easy beatmatching. They can create and integrate loops with CDs and MP3s on CDN450.
CDN450 also has Fader Start, which can automatically start cued-up playback when the DJ moves the crossfader on a compatible mixer. From the company that introduced DJs to Anti-Shock, CDN450 contains a built-in buffer for worry-free and skip-free performance, the company says.
CDN450 is built in a rackmount package that is equally at home in angled and straight racks, Numark says. DJs can mount the control and drive units together or separately for setup flexibility. It plays CD and CD-R discs for media convenience, and the CD player is housed in an all-metal chassis for rugged.
Availability
CDN450 should be available from DJ and professional audio retailers Q3 2009.
