Best value: Excellent
Class A mic preamp
Semiparametric EQ bass and high, medium for the parametric
tube compressor

In short, the standard for a preamp to do everything.

(8 / 10 as one would hope the digital output as standard, not optional as well as a limiter)

UTILIZATION

No eccentricity on the preamp. Gain control for preamp, EQ and compressor 3: All you need is easier to use. I'll not put 10/10 for I loved the engagement of the 48V button on the front with an LED to indicate its activity.

SOUND QUALITY

Overall I am quite satisfied with the quality of the audio preamp because of its price. The EQ section is effective and compressor performance while providing a little color with the lamp. I just wish the breath generated by the threshold of the compressor and a slight lack of dynamics in the preamp: it is a bit soft.

OVERALL OPINION

It's been a year since I have and I am delighted to have started with a preamp to the quality / price excellent. All the tools needed for good sound are present and the unit is very easy to use. Its neutral side allows you to attack any kind of sound recording effectively. If I take it again over the range but I think it's a great preamp for its first steps in home studio with quality equipment at an affordable price.
For the anecdote, some banks of the Scarbee (www.scarbee.com) renowned for their excellent quality were recorded via the preamp ... I also now composed
