Iiyama HM204DT Diamondtron

I finally fell for one of the last 22 "CRT for sale.
Race endangered.
My goal is to work on Premiere, ProTools, Photoshop.
I keep my old Mitsubishi Diamond Plus 71 which is great but is starting to tarnish badly.
Balance sheet? The image of my old Mitsubishi 17 "is clearer.
The characters on the Iiyama drool, but it is obvious that direct comparison.
This all set parameters, convergence, calibration etc ...
on the other hand, the rendering is beautiful. Very clear image rich.
But it's a good 22 "and I use it for any application to 1600x1200/85hz computer music, DAO.
1280x960/85Hz for the rest.

Mode 'picture' (200 cd) is bright, even too, very runny. Unusable for me for work of the photo in a respectful and faithful.

30 days later, I made this monitor to a Viewsonic P225f.
Tube Original Mitsubishi (the best).
This is where we realize that the Iiyama is low.
In addition, the low level electronics, Iiyama draws heavily on computer resources, so much so that it has completed my graphics card (aging but works fine with my 17 "), then my card mother. (confirmation by specialists).

The Iiyama HM204DTA is therefore to render color, period. For the rest, go your way.

The VAS Iiyama is however very attentive and knowledgeable. A new replacement screen was delivered to me, and it was worse than mine (color separated left - convergence problem - and very well right of the screen: Can not get a good image on the screen ).

Some pros of graphics or video editing work on the Iiyama not complain, though poor in clarity and convergence. It is said that shoemakers are the worst shod, it's true!

In short: If you are demanding, avoid this monitor.
Require tube NEC / Mitsubishi. This also applies for flat panel displays, NEC is part of a top three in the high-end displays.
