dBTechnologies Celebrates 10th Anniversary at New Showroom

dBTechnologies Deutschland celebrates its 10th anniversary this year, coinciding with the completion of a new 500 sqm showroom at its Cologne-based offices, where the team and visitors were able to toast the company's first decade.

 

Founded in the year 2000 by three people with a vision that the brand should be made available to a wider audience, dBTechnologies Deutschland was set up as a daughter company of Italian AEB Industriale. For over 25 years dBTechnologies has been a force in both wireless and modern audio technology, and the German sales company has grown from its beginnings at the turn of the millenium, to employing 35 people and serving many European countries.

“I'm extremly proud of our development over the past 10 years,” says Managing Director Michael Herweg. “We have built a team instilled with the same passion that we had when we started.”

 

“Back then we were selling, picking and packing all at once,” remembers Arne Deterts, now Sales Director Germany and one of the original three. “The drive and enthusiasm for excellent levels of customer support was just the same then as it is now.”

 

By 2008, the company had moved into a premises with double the administrative and warehouse space. Harald von Falkenstein, European Sales Manager explains the latest expansion: “Opening a new showroom seemed the next logical step for our ever-growing customer base. Kitted out with multi-media equipment and all-around trussing, the demo room is a double-height space – 7m high – and 25m long, which makes it very interesting for line array demonstrations.”

 

The 2009 economic crash seems to have left dBTechnologies relatively unscathed, according to the company, with a planned 25% growth for 2010. “We consider this to be a particularly notable success; in many territories dBTechnologies is seen one of the leading brands in the RCF group, which is an incredible position to be in,” comments Herweg.

 

Herweg concludes, “Throwing the anniversary party in our brand new showroom gave our partners the opportunity to see how far we have come, and share in our success to date. We hope to build on their dedication to the company, to help propel us forward another 10 years!”
