Acoustica 6 is available in three Basic (free), Standard ($39.90) and Premium ($119.90) editions, the later supporting 5.1 and 7.1 surround processing and featuring advanced audio restoration tools.
The Standard and Premium editions now include multitrack editing with the ability to apply effect chains to both master and individual tracks, loop and modify clips (time stretch, transitions).
The Standard edition received processing tools that were only available in the Premium version before, including time stretch, pitch shift, a new reverb with room and filter parameter controls and a parametric EQ with 6 types of filters (low-shelf, peak, high-shelf, high-pass, notch and band-pass).
The Premium edition now features a new phase-linear 6-band parametric EQ with 6 types of filters and variable slopes between –3 and –120dB/octave. This version also received new restoration tools (DeNoise, DeHum, DeClick and DeClip).
Acoustic 6 Basic now supports MP4 and AAC file import and filter exports (on Windows 7 and 8).
All the editions support files bigger than 4GB. In case of unexpected computer shutdown, an automatic recording restoration function is included and Acon Digital improved the VST preset handling.
Users of any previous version can upgrade from $24.90. More info at acondigital.com/acoustica-audio-editor/.
