CHARACTERISTICS prcedent give the advice.

UTILIZATION

Too bad there are only 10 audio inputs. But when used in project studio is happiness given the number of input / output numriques available. Provided you have the option cards.
The input configuration is a little Drout to beginners: the slices were sacrificed 9 to 16 or st1 and st2 to enter the SPDIF and AES st1 or for the return of internal effect. This routing is not MMore level snapshot, but globally, too bad when you return on a project.
The output configuration is dpendante the location of the cards in the slots, not always practical: the bus can route all the outputs of three cards, the DirectOut road on the exit of the road + 16. For example the way a lot of exit 17 live out is to say THE FIRST out of the 2nd map. Not always and not empty trs flexible, unless you change the location of the cards on a project basis.

The use of functions is clear rev: 1 button => 1 function

The manual is not clear and trs largely incomplete, but it is doing good by doing.
This is when even a super router numrique as long as one has a configuration Dfine.

SOUNDS

Converters are high no matter what. I took a group without any worries with the trs trs clear and respectful.
Projects for the studio, I do not use the internal converters, I work with Apogee converters and a slice AMEK / Neve.

The effects are fairly mundane but effective. Fawn any effect for all tracks is a bit short. It is taken as reinforcements for voice (not save), it's okay but there are better elsewhere.

The equalo, however, is clear and trs trs prcis not crillard is not neve, but it is far better than anything I have used Yamaha dj ( 01V, 02R)
The compressor (1 through the same channels numriques) is really good and trs trs effective.
I only use by the gates.

The sound is really good trs, nothing to do with Yamaha consoles. Respect mdium low bass and treble: nothing crillard is rich and respectful. One has the impression of having an analog console in the hands without the default (note I do not speak of SSL and other sizes).

OVERALL OPINION

I bought it used before t. I had a yamaha, I n'tais not Fully satisfied with the sound, despite the much greater functionality and revolutions to 96khz ... walked around in circles for at least 1 year and a half, knowing that DAW configuration, it is easier to work with this style of console (the recall of a project paramtres another routing numrique, in the intgration software ...). I met a guy who has one and told me as well as from yamaha. So I buy OCCAZ, cheap and it works great.
As against some flats on the console:
- The console comes with a silent automation software, which is now deprecated (Windows 98 or ME)
and RS422
- Twelve o'clock codes sent as automation via MIDI compltement wacky (two Controller for a function for example), so impossible in the State will integrate the cubase on this point.
- Mode Controller noon, you can CONTRL table mix of soft, for only against the fader emit noon (salt, cut, rec emit nothing in this mode)
- Fragility of nitre seen master (the leds Premire n'clairent not always)
- Ct saturation passagre left output monitoring (weakness of this converter?)
The big plus:
- Sound
- The number of input / output numrique
- Sound
- The look
- Sound

And that's the main

Provided that we have input / output apogee (or rms) with pramps super quality: is happiness.
Expressed in the 96 kHz, what could make me change my console?
