Nobody really talks, but a revolution of 2488 this is the MIDI sound ...
and yes you connect your 2488 to your PC, of course you buy the 2488 and you do not want to invest in a sound card too expensive ... 2488 plays whatever role of expander!
And it's great .... a master keyboard to the PC, the MIDI IN of the PC in the tascam and go for the midi sounds ... The MIDI sounds are respectable, much better than a lot of sound card that cost a fortune ... after it on .. you can associate other expander ...
UTILIZATION
The handling is quick to use basic ...
Once you start to get into the technique, it is not the 2488 who we stop ... is the documentation that is really light ... you spend three days trying to figure out things that are not explained in the doc ... it's a shame, because when you find .... use is simple, but a full doc we avoid looking ....
but quickly forgotten or ... very good sound quality mic phantom power supply, no need really preamp .... with a good condenser mic is terrible ...
effects are respectable for a table at this price that offers voice effects, guitar effects, an expander midi ... enough to mix and burn ... It's really good.
Purists will always find fault with the quality of effects etc. .... a table that manages a while it occurs only in the 2488 ...
I also use guitar effects, with the song .... Some good combination
I put 9 / 10 the table and storage for future ... but 2 / 10 doc for the shit.
SOUNDS
The sound is very good ...
but always the same ... requires the microphone that comes with it ....
Not expect a great sound with a microphone carrouffff!!
effects, well there is this problem of "single" that requires you to assign the effect, and then bounce to another track if you want to use a different effect on another voice, without touching the one that have just been bounced ... (It's not very clear, but those using the 2488 know what I mean ...) I even read on the forums that some believe they can affect only one purpose ... Well no ... but must bouncer! c true is boring ...

So I have been using 1year ...
I'm starting to realize now how it works ....
Why I bought this model for the generator's playing Expander ... and the integrated effects ....
and of course PRICE ....
So a table that I advise those who want a home studio solution with or without a PC ... without having to purchase a quantity of effects, expander, rack, everything you want ....
The 2488 that is sufficient to itself ... it is the only market to offer all in one.
