I use the DCX2496 since May 2004, and I am delighted to office and his musicality. The use via a PC interface and the free edition (available on the behringer site) make it a real little racing machine, all functions can be accessed quickly and easily. The use without a PC is a little heavier, just to get started: Parameter access is fairly intuitive, it is clear that the view of the quantities: functions, we can not do it right the first time! The automatic phasing is just great, I'm sorry but there is no automatic linearization, it would have been the icing on the cake, but good. Half as much as the smallest DBX that is not connected to the PC, I am so far happy with this purchase.
Processor unit, the DCX2496 shines with a neat finish. The quality of the converters is exelente,, even at low level: the breath is negligible. The effectiveness of the corrections, compressor limiters, active filters, etc, ... are simply very effective and accurate.
The use is a little complicated at first, but with a little game with features, it is possible to tame the beast quickly given the number of functions, do not ask, just to get started! The editor PC is magic! Using become as easy as cabbage!
