There are 7 octaves on the Yamaha CP-300. There are Midi Connections In, Out, Through, Phones, Input,(L Mono,R) Output(L/R) Assignable Foot Pedal (Sustain/Sostenuto/Soft/Aux) USB to Host, AC Inlet.
There are 530 instrumental sounds including XG Voices. You can hear two instrumental sounds by pressing two buttons at the same time, it has a transpose button to transpose the Yamaha CP-300 if you`re not use to play in a different key. Minus 12 making it 13.25 cycles per second (lowest A) on the Yamaha CP-300 You can make it sound like a five manual pipe organ that way, a specially of you use push the pipe organ and another instrumental sound. and transpose plus 12 making the Yamaha CP-300 8,000 cycles per second highest C on the Yamaha CP-300 Piano. It has some demo songs too.

The set up is simple if you play around with the Yamaha CP-300. You can look up on www.manualslib.com/ then Yamaha CP-300 to see how to opperate the Yamaha CP-300. I played around on the Yamaha CP-300 in a music store a while back.

SOUNDS

The sounds are realistic, except I don`t like the brass sound on it, that`s about the only thing. I like the brass sound on the Technics PR-305 Digital Piano better, it sounds a truest instrumental sound, but over all like all the other instrumental sounds on it,the sounds are OK. it has a touch sensitivity too. I would put the Yamaha CP-300 on top of the Technics PR-305 with the midi cables hooked up to it, I`d get four different sounds at the same time.

OVERALL OPINION

The Yamaha CP-300 is a lot of fun to play on over all, the price is pretty good, The Yamaha CP-300 weighs about 71.63 pounds, but over all I would buy the Yamaha CP-300, it has built in speakers, it`s a must have keyboard. The newer models are lighter,like the Yamaha CP-4 but you can`t mix the sounds by pressing the two buttons and you have to get an amp for them too.

The Yamaha CP300 is an 88 key digital piano with 50 plus different instrument sounds, with two on board speakers. It has everything you need to go perform with or just play in the comfort of your own home with. When you play the CP 300 you will have the feel of a grand piano in digital form right at you finger tips. The CP 300 does have a built in sequencer which is decent but its nothing compared to the workstation sequencers that come with some of the higher end Yamaha keyboards. This is not the type of keyboard you want to buy if you are looking for a powerful sequencer and song arranger.


UTILIZATION

The CP 300 has a few effects mainly just reverb and some chorus though, all of the knobs and controllers like pitch bend and modulation can be done right on the CP 300 in real time as well as messing with the EQ sliders. There is a Master EQ on the CP 300 that can be tweaked in real time, it is a 5 band EQ.


SOUNDS

The weight of the Yamaha CP 300 is the down fall for me, it weighs so much more than it should. There are so many other digital piano’s and workstations that way 1/3 less than the CP 300 does. So if you plan on getting a digital piano that you are going to have to move around a lot then you might want to look elsewhere , also the CP 300 is pretty big when you are in front of it, it seems bigger than a lot of other digital piano’s that I have worked with over the years.


OVERALL OPINION

Value for the price of the CP 300 is respectable, and the sound quality of the instruments are very good. I recommend people looking at the CP 300 to take a look at the Yamaha P 155. It is lighter, easier to move and has better sounding piano’s, and it is a lot cheaper!

OVERALL OPINION

After extensive testing, I finally bought the CP300 last month
HP is the means but only 13 cm in diameter, slightly low

sampling the piano and also slightly worse on <a rel="nofollow" href="/digital-piano/yamaha/CP33/?utm_source=audiofanzine&utm_medium=link&utm_campaign=netting&utm_content=product&utm_term=CP33" target="_blank">CP33</a>&nbsp;You can also mix two instrumental sounds on the Yamaha CP-300 by <a rel="nofollow" href="#" target="_blank">pressing</a> the two buttons at the same time, and you can trans pose the Yamaha CP-300 so that you can <a rel="nofollow" href="#" target="_blank">play</a> in a different key when your not use to playing in it can be transposed to Minus 12 making it 13.25 cycles per second (lowest A) aspecially if you use the <a rel="nofollow" href="#" target="_blank">pipe organ</a> along with another instrumental sound. You can make it sound like a five manual pipe organ at that rate, and can be transposed to plus 12 making it 8,000 cycles per second (highest C) you look up www.manualslib.com/ then Yamaha CP-300 on how to operate it.,it has 530 instrumental sounds including GX voices.

The CP300 is the successor to the line of P500 or P250 numriques pianos. It is a very heavy instument but if we must suffer to bring the boiler so it's a sacrifice worth it.

UTILIZATION

The feel is more pleasant than the CP33.

SOUNDS

The sound is thinner than the CP33. There may be too much brightness in the sound but can rgler this parameter in the menu.

OVERALL OPINION

The CP300 is good like good wine, it's a beautiful instrument. Over time, the only thing I find unfortunate is that we can not export the sound to wav format via USB.
