The Difference between 409 and 407 is only at the keyboard: it is covered with synthetic ivory on the 409 (Difference price: about 1500!)
For a comparison lment: the internal engine is identical to the Tyros 2.

UTILIZATION
The touch keyboard is really perfect, everything is comparable a "real" piano 1 / 4 tail. One BMOL: a pitch-bend would be really trs well, but you can even set up when one of the three pedals to fill this office (dlicat assess the toe).
The use is very simple, and even better than my Previous arranger (the ROLAND G1000), it is true that the large color display has much to do.
The user manual is essential to know if the same in all dtails bte ...
SOUNDS
Sounds are die for! I advise you to see the CVP409 dmo on YOUTUBE ... (At internal card, CVP407 CVP409 =)
My prfr: piano (Sampling of 4 levels), and then also the guitar, and the organs (with the drawbars notch!), And then also the flute, and, and, and , everything, everything!
This is not a "real synthquot o can CRER its own sound, but I think it's more important to have a wide selection of quality, I am dedicated and Fast Fashion more musical.
Even when there is the option to edit the internal sounds, which will be greatly facilitated by the prsence of 6 DSP effects.
A word about the internal amplification: open your eyes!

I compared a year for almost all models of the market before choosing the CVP407, which for me is the best, both in Aesthetics and sound.
In 5000 the craft fvrier 2008 (and without the seat, which is essential!) The ratio quality / price even if correct: compare the price of a TYROS 2 (or G70) + keyboard 88-master, not to finish ...
I bazard all my hardware (CME UF8, JV1080, CUBASE, ...) to invest in this keyboard, and I do not regret my choice!
