It is a Proteus: 3 pairs of stereo outputs, 8 MB of ROM, multi-timbral ... MIDI IOT, 383 ROM sounds, editable though. Not affect in-house: the PROTEUS 2XR deserves its own little reverb.

UTILIZATION

simple. Parameters in small numbers, but all effective. Sounds are assignable to any of the outputs. There are two stamps in his. The editing is tedious, however, since it takes time to moult "crouik-crouik" with the tiny serrated alpha dial to find the right setting, then the right sub-parameter, then the right sub-sub parameter. ROMpler is a high-end, not a synthesizer. And, honestly, the sounds do not need to be edited.

SOUNDS

My PROTEUS 2XR (XR because double memory, 8MB), only the sounds of the orchestra, but a lot of orchestral sounds (solo, duets, trios, ensembles ...), most of which are exceptional. The sound that comes out is ... how to say, organic. The quality of the sample base is fantastic, hot, colored to perfection! No piano, but, honestly, I dab.

OVERALL OPINION

I also use a K2000, a E-MU EMAX, a YAMAHA A4000, one E-MU Procussions, a E-MU 1XR VZ1 and CASIO. For a long time I coveted the 2XR: here I am now facing one of the best orchestral sounds romplers we've stayed. In most cases, closing your eyes, you see the orchestra in front of you. Added to a small light reverb, this object will make you happy for this purpose. Raah, the divertimento, his flute, his strings, his percussion orchestra, its winds ...
