Native Instruments Traktor Scratch Duo 2

After spending two years on Mixvibes and having been fed various bugs, rumbles or another I decided to go under Traktor.
I mainly DnB mix, Footwork & UKG, while scratching regularly, I turn with 2 PDX 2300, PMC 05 PRO 1 04 BLACK and Macbook Black 2.4 Ghz Intel Core 2 Duo 4GB DDR2 SDRAM under 10.6.8.

GETTING STARTED

The installation is done quickly and age problem.
The general configuration is easy and well explained as the manual.

SUITABILITY/PERFORMANCE

Setup my computer to see the features.
The software runs correctly on the config is rather stable until the latest day extremely heavy and require a lot of resources and an obligation to pass on Lion or MountainLion ...!
There is still quite sensitive to rumbles, avoid timecode vinyl on big stages, choose the timecode cds

OVERALL OPINION

Almost 3 years that I use, what I like the most rapid implementation, its fluid and pleasant interface, performance, use with timecode cd is perfect.
What I like least is that NI forces its customers to under recent OS, I also add that the latest updates are very heavy and requires a mac or pc powerful enough, it is also sensitive to rumble.
Before I used to buy Mixvibes Cross I abandoned many of the bugs, I tested several times Serato but nothing happens I do not like the interface!
The value for money is good, with the experience I remake this choice, but with a newer mac.

Bought because it's still easier to carry a PC and a sound card (plusieurrs) Cases of cds!

I have a AUDIO6DJ with traktor scratch DUO2.

I use it to mix, but also to record my mixes, and as a simple PC sound card.

GETTING STARTED

Quick installation, service center effective and well developed.
Configuring the sound card is not a concern in listening but when you use the timecode ca becomes laborious. Do not be afraid to take some time (hours) to find the config adequate. Trial and error helps a lot.

The PDF manual available on the site is effective. The official forum of NI helps a lot.

The software runs well no slowdown. The importance of the library is fast despite my 10 000 titles. Documentation is required to properly configure every parameter of soft.

Configuration latency etc.. need a lot of time and testing.

The cue is unusable on stage as there is a disturbing discrepancy and random! It is like mixing a vinyl c'etati.

OVERALL OPINION

I use it for about 5 months. I had a hard time setting it to start. Some items do not satisfy me yet (cue unusable, sometimes the play starts up anywhere in the Psit.)

In short you have to have time to set it up, but once that is done dla bomb. For the price difference with Serato Scratch ca worth it! The sound card is great, and even allows the preview via enregistremetn jack6.35
