«  Small quality controller / handy »

Published on 11/29/12 at 07:44
I am a mobile DJ with my gear so compact equipment required!
I have a flight case with a DJM 700 and two CDJ 850 and I was looking for a compact controller is able to integrate my flight case and play sounds / videos virtual DJ.
Before I used a Hercules MK2 console "Imagine the difference"

This allows me to have a sound card for sound quality Virtual DJ to work with 4 lanes (2 lanes -> 2 CDJ + channels -> ZOMO).

Config:
Virtual Dj Pro
MacBook Pro or PC samsung

UTILIZATION

Asio Drivers and map are very well built, no problem so far.
For me the sound card like the road with a little lack dynamism in the sound.

GETTING STARTED

In the inbox are:
- The controller "in a square polystyrene"
- A USB cable & installation CD includes: (manual, virtual dj skins and mappers and a manual driver installation)

The installation is very simple.

OVERALL OPINION

I have the controller for 2 months.

Other models tested:
- Hercules MK2
- Hercules RMX
- Pioneer DDJ T-1 & S 1
- Pioneer MEP 7000

More on:
Size
Product quality + + + + + + + + + (aesthetics)
Four audio outputs
Easy installation

The Cons:
Too many shortcuts (double function keys)
Use of difficult samples

Value / Price:
For a price of 199 € on SV ... You end up with a compact controller high quality (aesthetics) can read 4 channels with buttons to control all the functions of Virtual DJ
With experience, I would do the same choice :)

One might even believe that a controller Pioneer hands.
