American Audio has added a new model to the VMS Series, the VMS2 Digital Work Station, a 2-channel version that comes bundled with an updated edition of Virtual DJ LE software.

Like the original VMS4, the new VMS2 features MIDILOG channels (in this case 2 channels)  that are compatible with both any type MIDI software or analog inputs such as CD players or turntables, giving DJs the opportunity to move between the digital and analog worlds.  Also like its larger cousin, the VMS2  can be used with either a PC or Mac.

 

The VMS2 also contains American Audio’s “D-Core” Audio Engine. It also features balanced XLR outputs, a combo XLR/ ¼” mic input, and a built-in 4 In/ 4 Out  Sound Card.  Additionally, like the  original model, the VMS2 can be used with an Innofader replacement crossfader  (sold separately).

 

The VMS2 also comes bundled with Virtual DJ LE  software. The new, updated  version of Virtual DJ LE contained in this package offers added features such as Smart Scratch and Clone. The VMS2 can also accomodate other DJ  software programs.

 

Other  features on the VMS2 include: adjustable crossfader curve, 3-band Q with rotary  kills, Booth and Master RCA Outputs and 39 MIDI buttons with LED  illumination  Plus, it features 34  assignable rotary controllers, 10 assignable linear fader controllers, and dual  2048 point resolution touch-sensitive turntable scratch controllers.

 

The VMS2 features steel construction and rack rails are included for mounting the unit to a 19-inch rack mount case. The unit measures 15.75”L x 12”W x 2.5”H/ 400 × 300 × 65mm, and weighs 9 lbs. / 5  kg.
