Published on 01/30/13 at 00:03I use F1 for 5 months and this is definitely a plus in my sets. I mix that with a x1 and z2 (NI shopaholic me?) That allows me to use the F1 as a kind of third way to balance vocals and instrumentals music sampler directly through the capture function f1 and up to 32 days which is pretty huge.
The pads are great colors as they allow me to quickly differentiate samples my way eg blue male, feminine pink, green instrument guitar, synth etc and red is pretty too.
The only downside is the change between the deck c and d when changing cutting deck that another good but with 4 page 16 samples there is already plenty to do but ultimately having two is a must have.
To conclude, I think that f1 is a very powerful machine with a huge capacity, but there is a certain learning time well before the beast master. And NI plug and play is top notch.
Here I advise any user of traktor especially with the 2.6. This little wonder turns your set.
