Published on 11/17/10 at 07:45Rekordbox is software supplied with the CDJ 2000 (free), it allows:
- To import your music, have them analyzed (BPM & Waveform) to assign cover art to modify their information (artist, year, album ...), them down by number of stars.
- Create playlists his (ex: house, hardstyle, r & b, whatever you like), creating in advance its cue hot, hot loop.
- You can also assign a color to each USB device (eg one brings up a USB key in blue on the screen of the CDJ 2000 when playing in red for the external hard drive, so you always know what its source).
GETTING STARTED
Installation is easy (on Windows 7 x64bit for me), the updates for new version we are available when starting the software, again no problem, installation Fast, which replaces the previous version.
SUITABILITY/PERFORMANCE
My PC configuration:
- 2.53 GHz processor as
- 3GB of RAM
- Hard Drive 1TB
No worries of a slowdown, I just think the software could be more responsive. For example when I want to retrieve a library, a bar "busy" sometimes appear, and load in%. It is important that everything be done with one click and instant way because it was never too keen to spend hours and hours just to create their playlists and analyze its parts (if not create the file directly with the windows explorer and copy pasted the files, they are not analyzed but ...) I use
OVERALL OPINION
since July, I have 2 usb key Danelec (one of 8GB, the another 16GB), and a Western Digital hard drive of 750GB, no problem choice question!
It will mark quickly in the software, and is taken in hand quickly, it is convenient to meet in the evening with playlists of already established his stud record, it's really comfortable.
