Excellent
- How long have you use it?
My drumkit: GC 22, CC 14, Toms 12 and 16 (I only uses two)
I use it for more than five years, I have given numerous concerts and recorded several demos with my band, the sound has always been up to, especially on stage or its natural puissansce is a great help in a rock context, and especially in places where the sound is missing (bars, small theaters, concerts to tear our country (I live in the Dordogne, I know what I mean!))
- What is so special that you like most and least?
What I like most is the power of the bass drum, both snapping and round, it is one of the nicest bass drums to play I have ever try .
The snare drum is also very well made and allows a wide range of settings with sound still clear and powerful. Toms when they are in as the bass drum in both round and slamming (which I love!)
(The skins I use for info: Remo Powerstroke on the kick, Evans Genera G2 on the snare, Remo Amnassador on the toms)
The TAMA is pretty far ahead of its competitors in the same price range and even to some more expensive. The quality of finish is worthy of the high-end, we feel that the set is built to last. Shortly after purchase, I bought a pack of feet and accessories TAMA, history of having the complete set, and just under 500 euros, I was able to offer me a cymbal stand right, walk 1 pole, 1 foot of Charleston, a foot snare and bass drum pedal (Iron Cobra still, what a joy this pedal!)
-Have you tried many other models before buying it?
Yes, on stage when we share the same drum set with other groups and No, I never had in my possession a Premier APK (very good quality / price ratio except for the accessories that come with little reliable, and then finishes it will rodhoïde five minutes, long live the varnished wood!). But it is word of mouth that eventually motivated my purchase.
- How would you rate the quality / price?
A great price / quality ratio, I think that TAMA is the only brand to offer a material of this quality in this price range (for example from Yamaha Oak Custom, really disappointing for my taste).
- With experience, you do again this choice? ...
