It is a hypercardioid mic with a very good presence and clartée certainly due to its broad bandwidth (50Hz to 16Khz)
Very solid, manufacturing is serious, no handling noise, high gain before feedback and plosive, is very suitable for the live.
In fact I bought this mic a bit by accident, I was looking for more of a SM58, when the salesman made me try the Audio Technica I was immediately seduced, he certainly did not notorété of a Shure or Sennheiser, but for 99 euros I had the quality of a Béta58, so my choice was headed quickly!
small detail that is important for the base metal clip is provided, so it's serious!
OVERALL OPINION
I use it for the song (hard rock 70/80) and is nickel.
Before this one I had: a Shure SM58, a Béta58 a Behringer XM8500, a T-Bone MB85Béta a Shure 565 SD.
