Phantom power makes this dynaic mic different along with the shape. Very nice signal from a dynamic mic. I also like the red phantom power indicator light on the front. No pad or pattern switch though it really doesn't need one.
Price paid: $80 USD
It has a dynamic mic sound like a SM57 but cleaner and more well balanced for vocals. Great for rap vocals but you really must perform to get the sound you want out of it or it will sound lifeless. Doesn't have the sheen and sparkle of good condeser mics.
Very easy to use. Just plug into a phantom power source and go.
Very rugged and well built. I don't stress over this mic like I do my sensitive condesers.
OVERALL OPINION
I do like this mic alot for a different kind of sound than my other mics. Great for rap. I also heard the producer Focus from Aftermath uses this mic.
