Aria SWB Lite one

I use it for seven years, but much more now since I have a real grandmother. More pervasive, but more sexy for those who love the shapes!

I tried the Stagg EDB model, but now the price difference (the stagg is 450 €) refers. I tried a NS Design in the same price range, but I think it sounds less bass and fretless.

What I like:
• The practicality of its small size. Those who have already tried to take the TGV second with an acoustic cb can reccueillir few moments.
• A sound, which with good strings, is close enough (it's not quite right anyway!) The real grandmother (pizzicato anyway).
• Its modern look. This is perfect with a narrow suit and bow tie.

What I do not like:
• Its handle a little pickaxe handle, a little rough and difficult to play. Especially for long sessions. Term risk is to have a left arm to Nadal ...
• the lack of a left arm support (as in Stagg, for example). History of making pauses in muscle from time to time session.

The value for money is still very correct. Needless to take your banker tie explore sensation of cb ...

With experience, I'd wait a bit to buy the Yamaha Silent Bass, I have tried since and is downright baffling. But if not, recognize that this bass has allowed me to test my feelings bassist before going to a real acoustic cb ... and there .... and there ....

So I got my Aria SWB lite oak (direct from Thoman) very well packed, nickel.

First grip, already is a real tune. Not 1 / 2 or 3 / 4.
It seems very solid. Very reliable. More positive first impression.
The classic mechanical and tuning there is no play, no movement of the screw. Impeccable.
In my case (1m72), the pic is ok, and I found it solid. I even tried to rely on it to bend, and well, it's not much curve.

Sensation play:

Very pleasantly surprised. The sensation is really close to the bass. To play, you must get into it, it's really interesting. And it's a pleasure to play at 0:30 in five returning much in the instrument without disturbing the five floors below.

Sound:
100% agree with the previous opinion, the absence of body is obvious and clear it sounds piezo.
But to be honest, I tried the NS and it sounded fretless Steinberger. Here, with the SWB, we are in the double bass, electric of course, no doubt, but it sounds upright anyway.

Conclusion:

I wanted to go play an instrument without restrictions with the airlines and other travel, and I found my happiness. To move and go to concerts, the contract is completed. After that, I do not think I should be a record with. But to live, what happiness.

Finally, I will give this phrase the previous opinion that sums up the instrument:
"We are far above the competition, and much closer to the feel of a game with a bass instrument so Steinberger NS (good in itself, but nothing to do with a CB)"

Aria SWB Lite one is an electric bass made in Korea. His body is alder, the neck, is screwed Saddle and down and the bridge. The pitch is 105 cm (pretty standard size). The handle is marked on the ct to ease the accuracy. The bridge is adjustable in height.
