Vantage The Zek' Fretless

Volume and tone, all liabilities.

Bolt, button rosewood I believe it.

UTILIZATION

Handle soft, fairly thick, standard width, so easy.
Access to acute rather complex, the handle being screwed is thick, despite cuts in the body.
This bass is heavy, massive and old school.
The form is typed Gibson SG but with more aggressive cutouts that give it a look almost "metal". Strange design for a fretless, it is accustomed to seeing milder forms.

The sound is there, the output level is correct. This is very serious or very acute, the mediums are a bit behind.

SOUNDS

It sounds pretty good.
Normal, it's still the model Zek, great name if any.

OVERALL OPINION

This is my first real bass fretless, finally my first fretless in running order.

Assets:
- Signature prestigious (but delivered without the fingers of the master)
- Look amazing
- Robust and solid appearance reassuring that is reminiscent of the structure shown Zek '.
- Rapprot exceptional quality / price (delivered at home by the master himself!)

Cons:
- No signature on it (the master is too small)
- We would have liked micro finish platinum plated.
- EDEN amp does not come with.

Repeat this choice?
