Asian bass, fretless, Wilkinson fittings, Vol 2 + 1 Tone, maple neck rosewood key.

USE

The bass is more or less rgle but at the same time we each have our rglages of predilection ... need some small tools and patience.
was going to do 4-5 weeks I have this bass, I did nothing wrong, I made two evenings with, it works very well, is not too heavy, the microphones are perfect, in terms of sounds is ben Jazz Bass Fretless, we can do a lot of stuff (not slap ... and again ...) and in my EAR serious are large, typically the mdiums JB and transparent highs, I do not think even change the strings (which need not be high-end stuff) because the attack is good.
To sum up: it sounds good!

SONORITS

I make the variety of jazz, this bass suits me.
The amp is a AER Basic Performer, I do not use effects.
Sounds? : Mic easel, round, 2 ... + a host of intermediaries positions.

NOTICE GLOBAL

What I like the most, the Q / P reports, excellent!

It is more an illusion, it sounds really, I pay 325 is present.

PS: I prefer to give objective advice, after having played the bagpipes in groups and during evenings with live sound and company, not just the sound of a bass in a mag or my face an amp.

UTILIZATION

Nice handle for my small hands, fine, flat, fast.
Access to acute correct.
Bonnne ergonomics, I was surprised by its weight very correct too.

SOUNDS

This is my first fretless, and I can not claim myself to have much experience, but she seems pretty versatile.
I play in a rock band (on Berhinger amp, or more often via Live Console B2.1u Zoom pedal) but I took this to fretless jazz pianist with my brother. Bon bah as it is a fretless, it is time to adapt and work to ring true, but it is not specific to the VJ96.
I still prefer the sound, versatility and potatoes of my VJ96, compared to my old fretted bass (an aria pro II Mad Axe 90s, ok this is not the top, but it is well worth some input ranges current ...)

OVERALL OPINION

I use it for several months.
What I like most is the value for money: bought new on the internet from a dealer English, I got it for 235 € including shipping ...
I was not expecting to have such an instrument, for a price so low.
Certainly all is not rosy at finish, and then it is better to change the strings at once supplied, roundwound far too aggressive for the key, unvarnished!
But I think for a first fretless, it's really a good deal.
And then the vintage, I'm not particularly addictive, but it does not hurt.
I obviously do it again this election, for such a budget!
