For the record:
This instrument has been realized during the 80's.
It is certainly the first 6-string bass after French
a collaboration between Remy and I Chaudagne, a kind of
prototype with "the means at hand" since at that time
mics 6 string bass did not exist or easels, etc. ..
Since then, the microphones have been updated (double) and simplified control.
The English Channel is one piece maple, the rosewood fingerboard of Rio.
Body is in two layers in one piece, alder back, if I remember
is true and Maple Top in about 3cm thick.
Designed to give a smooth, without too sharp attack, (no slap)
it worked very well in games harmonic chords.
In conclusion, an old craft that has made of loyal service.
(You can hear the timbre of the two excellent albums in which Remy
I really appreciate the richness of his work and his contributions to this instrument
difficult)
Thierry Carel
Since it is not an ad disguised, but just a comment
historical disregard notes!
