Dean Edge 09

Dean Guitars Edge 09 MPublished on 06/14/03 at 15:00
I got this bass for my birthday, and it was the first one I got. My dad bought it brand new from Starving Musician for about $200, I believe.

I really like the sound, because you can get a nice bassy sound out of it, but then there's also a bass/treble control that allows for a wide range if you prefer treble. I also like how there's only the two basic control, because the more controls there are, the less quality the sound is.

I got this bass for my birthday, and it was the first one I got. My dad bought it brand new from Starving Musician for about $200, I believe.

There is nothing I don't like, but I know for my next bass, I'm going to try out a bass with active pickups.

It is always important for the instrument to feel comfortable when playing, and this is just about as comfortable as anyone would like. The fretboard is nice and slim, and also deep enough for your palm to curl around nicely in the back. The only problem I ever had with this bass was that something inside the hole for the cord became loose or unscrewed or something, but that was easily fixed at home. Otherwise, this was very well made.

This bass is one of the best beginner basses you'll find. If you are just starting bass, I would recommend this because it will be well worth $200, maybe even more.
