- Anniversary Model 2006 manufactured in the USA
- 20 Jumbo frets
- A microphone (American Vintage Precision Bass Split Single-Coil Pickup) Bridge
American Standard
- Precision Electronics is a like any other (volume and tone), with a bonus for a push-pull kind of split the microphone ...
- C-shaped handle, Graphite Reinforced Maple, satin varnish with polyurethane.
- Maple Touche
A small diamond is inlaid on the head.
I do not notice because it is a Precision as we know them all ...
UTILIZATION
The neck is super nice, he is well in hand. But it is also the thickness I've always agreed. Access to acute is relatively easy, despite the heel junction.
The violin is wonderful. No default is worthy of a Custom Shop.
Bah, to ergonomics, this is a Precision! For me it is the top ...
Easily get a good sound? You plug in and go!
SOUNDS
I play mostly Rock / Electro / pop. I use it mainly for recording, live in a preamp Chandler Limited TG-2 through the sound card (RME Fireface 400). I was using before a replica of the mark Jazzbass Storm; it day and night! Nothing to see! Here I have a precise sound, very round ... As big fan of Pink Floyd, it was logical that one day I turn to this instrument. Playing with your fingers or a pick, it always comes out gracefully ...
on the other hand I am using the split ever. Perhaps it broadens the sonic palette, but mostly veers quite low. May be exploitable on stage, but not in the studio.
OVERALL OPINION
I use it for a few days. What I like most everything. A clarification was one of my dreams. The only thing that makes me wince, it is the color ... I wanted to avoid the Sunburst, but because it was a good buying opportunity ... but nothing serious.
I tried quite a few other models (Classic 50 Mex Highway, USA, Deluxe Special ...) but this one I was immediately caught the eye.
I bought used in 1000 euros. Value for money is honest, the violin is really excellent.
I would do this choice without hesitation.
